Endoscopy
At Premier Equine Veterinary Services we are equipped with a portable digital video endoscope. This allows the owner/trainer the opportunity to visualise the endoscopic findings in realtime or or via still images or videos taken during the exam. This is also useful for pre-purchase and sales evaluations.
Lameness
Sinead has significant experience and expertise in identifying, diagnosing and managing lameness in sporthorses and racehorses. Lameness investigations will include a trot up on a suitable hard surface and lunging or ridden assessment where appropriate. Nerve blocks, radiographs and/or ultrasonography may be utilised to diagnose the lameness. Once this has been achieved she will discuss the options available for treatment or rehabilitation of the issue.
Diagnostic Imaging
At Premier Equine Veterinary Services we have invested in the most up to date Radiography and ultrasonography equipment available. High quality images are vital for veterinary surgeons to make accurate interprations and guide treatment choices. Our RAD-X DRX1A x-ray machine is also perfect for taking top quality images for yearling sales and pre-purchase exams.
