Sinead grew up in Ireland and had ponies from a young age. She competed in show jumping and pony club activities before attending vet college in University College Dublin and graduating in 2009. She developed an interest in racehorses while at university and worked for various studs world wide, including spending a summer in Kentucky prepping yearlings with Coolmore. She also rode out for a number of mixed and National Hunt trainers.
Following graduation, she moved to work in Northamptonshire, UK before spending some time working in Thoroughbred practice in Saratoga, USA. She spent a further five years in equine practice in the UK working with everything from Shetland ponies to racehorses, before moving to Australia for a stud season. She settled in Victoria and has been practicing in the Southeast of Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula regions for the past 8 years with a particular interest in the treatment of racing and performance horses.
Outside of work, Sinead enjoys tennis, Gaelic games and exploring the outdoors with her three small children.
